A Little Bit About Me

My name is Bridget I am the owner, creator, designer, wax maker, labeler, packer,photographer, networker I do it all I am the sole employee of Birdies Making Scents.

I am married to a really awesome guy, mother of 2 grown fantastic kids & & our 2 puppy mill rescues Carlee & Bo.

I work a full-time job Monday- Friday as an Administrative Assisant in the trucking industry. When I am not working I am busy coming up with new creative, unique ideas for my wax melts.

Birdies Making Scents started because my husband told me I need to find a hobby & so that's where my adventure began, I started out making candles (cereal bowls etc..) & honestly I did not enjoy candle making at all my sister suggested making wax melts instead so I gave it a try & there was no looking back.

I absolutely love everything about creating new wax melts it's so relaxing and satisfying to me especially once the melt is completed.

I specialize in making realistic food wax melts and my mind is going 24/7 trying to come up with fun, new, unique ideas.

When I do have free time I love spending time with my family & friends who are the back bone in this venture , I also enjoy going to garage sales I love rustic farmhouse decor & have fun searching for deals.

Fall is my favorite time of year and my all time favorite holiday is Halloween.

CAR STINKEEZ LAST ANYWHERE BETWEEN 2-4 WEEKS AND MAY LAST LONGER. KEEP IN MIND CAR STINKEEZ ARE HEAT ACTIVATED & TEND TO BE STRONGER IN THE SUMMER MONTHS.

Keep in mind it is possible that you may go "NOSE BLIND" to the scent over time, but others will still smell the scent.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

1) Are these items ediable??

Unfortunately as delicious as my items appear to be they are NOT actually ediable.

2) What warmer works best with your wax??

My wax performs best using a hot plate warmer 25 watt & higher, but if you choose to use a bulb warmer use 20-40 watt bulb, tea light warmers also work but for best results I find hot plate warmers work the best wax performs differently in every household sometimes you have to test warmers to see what works best in your home.

3) What type of wax do you use??

My wax is a Para-Soy blended wax it's a ratio of approximately 52% Soy & 48% Paraffin you get the best of both worlds smooth & creamy appearance and A GREAT scent throw. It has a cure time of 14 days from the pour date that is labeled on your bag of course the longer it cures the better it will perform.

What is the best way to cut the wax??

If you would like a smooth cut pop in the microwave for approx 30 seconds less or more time may be needed depending on your microwave- or if you don't mind your wax in pieces simply slice with a wax cutter.

How do you clean wax out of warmer??

Simply place 2-3 cotton balls into the wax while it is still warm/hot the wax will absorb into the cotton balls for easy clean up please do not ever dump wax down your drain.

4) What is the Best way to store wax??

Your wax always comes packaged in scent safe polypropylene bags please be sure to keep them packaged in the bags they come in.

5) How much wax should I add to my warmer?

Do NOT overload your warmer only cover the bottom of your warmer, that is the part that is heating up your dish to much wax in your dish & the hot wax on the bottom can not get through the cooler wax on top makes for a poor scent throw. This is not a situation where the more wax the better, 1oz works good check your dish for the amount and only cover the bottom.

Do NOT add new wax to old wax toy are not resenting your old wax but you are diluting your new wax.

If you are not getting a good throw from your wax move your warmer room footage, air flow, all make a difference placement of your warmer can be everything.

WAX WARMER DISCLAIMERS

Place warmer on a heat safe surface away from curtains and furnishings

Check your warmer regularly for any cracks or damage.

DO NOT overfill your warmer

Warmers get HOT do not move warmer till it has completely cooled down.
